- What
should I do if I forget my password?
To obtain password assistance:
- From the ePORT Customer Login page, click on the 'Forgot
your password' link.
- Enter the Challenge Answer and click 'Continue'.
You will receive your temporary password through an e-mail. You
must use this password to login on ePort. You must then change
the password.
- How
do I change my password?
Passwords are changed from the Change Password screen.
- From the ePORT homepage, click on User Preferences button
at the top of the screen.
- Click on the Change My Password link to access
the Change Update screen.
- Type your old password and new password into the text boxes
provided.
- Click on Save.
- Who
can I contact for technical support?
You can call 1-888-592-0008, Monday through
Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 8:00 p.m. EST
- What
products are available through ePORT?
A list of current products can be found by selecting the Products
tab at the top of the ePORT screen.
- How
do I register to use ePORT?
Current customers can logon to the web site at http://www.eport.equifax.com and
complete the process electronically. Because the electronic signature
requirement can be satisfied online, there are no processing
requirements for ePORT registration beyond those on the web site.
- The customer completes the Registration
Form electronically on the web site. In addition to submitting
a Registration Form, the customer will be prompted to click
on an "Accept" button
for an Internet Addendum to its Agreement For Service be
completed in its entirety and according to all specifications.
- The Registration Form is then electronically
forwarded to Customer Accounts, where key information is
extracted and entered onto a Branch Add Request Form. Customer
Accounts will access this Branch Add Request Form and use
the data contained on the form to access DCAT and activate
the "ADS
Dual Access" flag, enabling the customer to obtain credit
files through an Internet interface. Once the registration
is approved, Customer Accounts enables the customer with
ePORT access and creates the company administrator user ID.
The company administrator will receive an email with the
temporary password and an URL address to complete the user
registration process.
- What
are the challenge question and answer?
The challenge question and answer are pieces of information that
you make up. It can be anything known only to you and that you
can easily remember at logon. You will need to remember the challenge
answer when logging onto ePORT.
- Where
can I get a user manual for ePORT?
All ePORT user manuals are available under the eLibrary tab at
the top of the screen.
- What
are ePORT User types?

- How
do I access a credit report?
All reports are processed from the Credit Reports screen.
- From the ePORT homepage, click on Credit Reports to
access the Credit Reports screen.
- Click on the Access New Report radio button to select
it.
- Click on the accompanying drop-down list and select the desired
type of report.
- Click on the Continue button to retrieve the input
information form.
- Why
can't the new user that I added access credit reports?
The Company Administrator needs to edit the Reports Permissions for
the new user.
- From the ePORT homepage, click on Company Administration to
access the administration options.
- Click on User Profiles.
- Click on Search.
- Select the user and click on Report Permissions.
- Select Report Profile and click Add>>.
- Click Save.
- Can
I save a report on the system to look at it later?
Yes, the basic ePORT service provides complimentary online report
storage. However, it is limited to 200 reports per user per six
months, whichever comes first. The oldest files beyond the limit
of 200 will be deleted. If you need unlimited report storage, ask
your company administrator to add this option for you.
- How
do I retrieve a stored report?
All reports are accessed from the Credit Reports screen

- From the ePORT homepage, click on Credit Reports to
access the Credit Reports screen.
- Click on the Lookup Saved Reports radio button to
select it.
- Click on the Continue button to retrieve the input
information form.
- What
is the Test Database?
The Test Database contains fictitious files that allow customers
to perform system or application testing without impacting true
consumer files. These files are robust files that represent true
conditions that exist in the Production environment. The files
remain static and provide for dependable environment testing and
/ or training.
- Where
can I find a list of the fictitious consumer files in the test
database?
Please log-in to the ePORT system,
select "Help" near the top right of the page, then select #25 in
the list of Frequently Asked Questions.
- Why
do I get the error message "Your certificate has expired"?
This indicates that your browser version is too old to support
certain ePORT security features. To Remedy this problem, you must
upgrade your browser by downloading the newest version of the browser
that you are using. If you are using Microsoft
Internet Explorer, click here to go to the upgrade download site,
otherwise, if you are using Netscape
Navigator, click here to go to the upgrade download site.
- How
can I turn on ePORT Decode?
Company administrators can enable ePORT Decode
directly on ePORT. After signing into ePORT, administrators should
select "Company
Administration" then "ePORT Account Administration".
ePORT Decode can be enabled for all users of that ePORT company
ID number. Please note the additional fees that apply.
- How do I enter a Military Address on the Report Inquiry page?
To enter a military address in ePORT use the Street
Name, City, State and ZIP fields.
Do not enter a House Number or Street Type.
